FICTIONAL CASE STUDY
Context: I was approached by a small business looking for a solution to the increased rate of submission requests for Project Deadline Extension Forms. They had recently transitioned to Microsoft Office suite and their teams had been adjusting to collaborating on the platform. They did an analysis and study to determine why corporate teams were not meeting project deadlines at the same rate they were prior to transitioning to Microsoft Office. What they found was that most teams had collaborated on Google Docs prior to the transition. Most teams did not have a system in place for collaborating on the Microsoft platform. Employees also had a varying degree of familiarity with the platform. This means there was a knowledge gap in the company base about collaborating using Microsoft Office.
Challenges: Educate all company personnel who work collaboratively on how to give and receive feedback using the comment feature within Microsoft Word.
Solutions: This training is a great solution to aide employees who are new to collaborating within the Microsoft Office suite.
